I need to print a poster with images on it, whats the best file format to use for high quality printing?

I dont want to loose any info, and these are screen shots from the Sims game. I’ll have to do a lil croping in GIMP but I’m saving the images in Paint first. Then I’ll edit later.
Save with the highest bit depth you can. In the Gimp, probably TIFF-16.
If you’re printing posters, you’ll want to change the colour space from RGB to CMYK.
I find that PNG format is a good trade off between quality and system resources.
Photoshop give a chance of working with high resolution file, the best file format depend with the machine ur going for output, But JPG or JPEG is the best format for picture file, the best resolution its any resolution above 100 at least but. u may also use TIF format but bot advised you better use Jpg or Jpeg.
